Anna + Newton met by chance on their nation’s independence day in July. She caught his eye from far while on the phone with a friend and thought nothing of her “off” attitude she showed towards Newton. He proceeded to ask a friend of his who she was and if she was currently dating anyone. When hearing the wonderful words “no”, he asked for her number and saved it for the future.
Months later while in Chicago on vacation, Newton called Anna. Not on purpose. Thinking he called a local friend of his, she picked up the phone. After chatting for a few minutes and realizing who was on the other line of each of their phones, they deided to meet up when he got back to Utah. (However, he claims she fell in love with his sweet voice over the phone, and couldn’t say no!)
Eight years of wonderful dating and learning everything about one another later, Newton proposed to Anna at a Red Lobser while in Portland. They are now planning a beautiful September wedding where their closest friends and family will become one.
I so enjoyed getting to know this amazing couple and their story over their engagement session at Tibble Fork Resivoir. The sweet love and respect they share for one another is incredible, and made my job that much better! I am so excited to share these and shoot their wedding later this summer.
XO
