I find myself each year in the same situation. All these words and feelings caught up inside of me – not sure how to properly let them out.
So, I will just say this:
Thank you from the bottom of my heart, for showing me what true strength, perseverance, love, and family means.
Thank you for picking me up in high school for only 25 minutes on my lunch break so we could eat together.
Thank you for accepting and loving each and every single animal I brought home over the past 24 years. Loving them like your own, and not putting me up for adoption in the process 😉
Thank you for giving me one of my most treasured friendships in this lifetime.
Thank you for showing me how to navigate through life. Choose people wisely. Be street smart. Love animals, and embrace each moment to the fullest.
On this very special day that you entered the world, we are celebrating you and all of your good.
I love you, and I’m so lucky to have been raised by such a strong roll model.
